COUNSEL Update

LLSDC members will have a choice between electronic or paper when the upcoming 16th Edition of COUNSEL is ready for publication in late 2002 or early 2003.

The Publications Committee and the Board are working to create a searchable web-based COUNSEL, in addition to the traditional paper edition. We are seeking to hire a programmer to create a field-searchable COUNSEL database. But we won't forget the paper: we will continue to produce the paper version.

We will keep you informed about the process of publishing the 16th Edition of COUNSEL via notices in Lights, this website and by other other means. In the meantime, if you have questions, please contact the chair of the Publications Committee.

Purpose
COUNSEL is the acronym for the publication Consolidated Union Serials List. The COUNSEL Committee administers the annual updating of the COUNSEL database and the production of the print edition of this publication.
